Buy Furniture and Home Furnishings

You need to see these places where to your and home furnishings online .

These days, there isn’t much we don’t shop for online. But if you have been hesitant to buy your furniture and home furnishings  with a few clicks instead of being able to walk into a store and see them in person, it might be time to rethink that strategy. With so many great sites that offer easy home furnishings delivery (and returns) and tons of reviews that can give you confidence in your purchase, furnishing or updating your home online is easier than ever. We have curated a few of our favorite sites for furniture and home furnishings .

Home Depot

Architectural Digest just extolled the virtues of Home Depot’s beautiful furniture and home furnishings (No, really!), and you won’t find these items in the stores. “That’s right, Home Depot sells not only furniture and home furnishings, but good furniture and great home furnishings,” they said. “We’re talking solid wood dining tables and cushy sofas covered in real linen. They’re not outrageously expensive, either. It might be hard to believe now, but Home Depot is going to be your decor go-to.”  The Ambrose Desk ($499) is “factory-chic” and “will look right at home in an office or living room with a modern or industrial design scheme,” according to Home Depot. We also love this Brooklyn Floor Lamp.

Amazon

Amazon probably isn’t your first choice when you think about furniture or home furnishings, but maybe it should at least be in your top 10. “Turns out you don’t need to schlep to Ikea to find cheap bowls and dish towels,” said New York Magazine’s The Strategist. “Amazon is actually full of handsome and well-priced future and home furnishings – you just have to do a little digging.” We’ll take this Dikoaina Mongolian Faux Fur Pillow Cover, which looks like it costs hundreds, but will set you back just $12.99.

Wayfair

No list of best online stores for furniture and home furnishings shopping would be complete without the inclusion of Wayfair. Not only do they have more than 5,000 brands with everything from home furnishings such  as lighting to décor to cookware, but they also offer free shipping on almost everything.

Etsy

You may have to do a bit more hunting and pecking on this site, and return policies will be up to the individual , so make sure you read the small type before you hit “purchase.” But the great news about Etsy is that items are not mass produced, so you won’t see your cool new piece of art in 12 other homes in the neighborhood.

Target

Yes, there’s a Target in practically every neighborhood. And that’s actually one of the upsides to shopping at the store online. Should something not work out for any reason, you can always return it right to the store. Of course, online shopping at Target is ideal for many reasons, not the least of which is being able to have large pieces delivered. Their Project 62 line is the new budget darling of the interior design world, with pieces ranging from the pretty rose gold bath collection to the Edmund Mid-Century Dining Table to great lighting options that allow you to incorporate modern trends at a fraction of what some of the items would cost elsewhere. The site also offers a cool feature that allows you to view a space in 3D of furniture and home furnishings.

Snowe

This one is for you if you’re looking for upscale finds without having to get in the car. “Have you even been to a well-curated home store and wish you just can live in the space? That’s exactly where Snowe comes in: The brand sources premium products from factories in Europe and America to bring you a minimalist edit optimized for thoughtful living,” said Refinery 29. Our favorites from the retailer include their dinnerware from Limoges, a French town famed for porcelain production, and high thread count bedsheets from Italy and Portugal.

A+R

Developing a space that is stylish and current but also reflects your individuality is a constant challenge. That’s where A+R comes in. “Chock full of playful modern furniture from designers all over the globe, A+R is a great place to branch out from your typical design classics,” said Curbed. “The store prides itself on showcasing new work from top designers with a strong aesthetic.” They do have an L.A. showroom if you happen to be in the area, but, if not, you’ll have a grand time navigating their website for treasures.

One King’s Lane

“We’re obsessed with the flash shopping site One Kings Lane that offers daily sales from the likes of Ralph Lauren and Martha Stewart, vintage and market finds you won’t find in anyone else’s home and sales curated by tastemakers with amazing style sense,” said TODAY.

Uncommon Goods

We’re big fans of Uncommon Goods for unique gift items and handmade crafts, but their homewares with “fascinating stories behind them,” as Refinery 29 mused, have us captivated, too. “From city-inspired bookshelves made in India to sculptural clocks exclusively sold at the site, this is the retailer to watch for one-of-a-kind home upgrades,” they said”
