As a government, we are taking the first step but this will also call for intervention”.

Edem said, the state decided not to use contractors but to partner with some stakeholders in the state in form of direct labour to deliver the project.He also disclosed that N10million was paid to Ifiang Oyong community as compensations for 150 hectares of land that housed the estate for the displaced people.

“What we have done is to partner with our people to serve as executors. They get the money from us to do the job, all they need is to look at the prototype, so it is a direct labour work, it is not a contract work, what that means is that there is no fix amount for profit here”. he stressed.On the budget for the houses, the commissioner said the governor has directed that it should not exceed N7milion per unit.

Guardian

Edem Effiom Cross River State Government has pledged to complete the first phase of the 5,000 … Cross River gets March date for IDPs houses in BakassiRead more

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[4
132,617,489,344,41,15282
post-8030","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-opportunities-in-new-markets","tag-commission","tag-house","tag-houses","tag-housing","tag-property","tag-ross

https://i0.wp.com/amazingproperty.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Edem-Effiom.jpg?fit=1280%2C720&ssl=1
Cross River State governor, Senator Ben AyadeThe Cross River State government has assured the Internally Displaced People of Bakassi that they will soon have a place of their own as the first phase of the social housing units being built by the government at Ifiang Ayong is about 70 per…
https://i0.wp.com/amazingproperty.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Ben-Ayade.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200
https://i0.wp.com/amazingproperty.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Ben-Ayade.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200 1x, https://i0.wp.com/amazingproperty.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Ben-Ayade.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1&resize=525%2C300 1.5x, https://i0.wp.com/amazingproperty.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Ben-Ayade.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1&resize=700%2C400 2x, https://i0.wp.com/amazingproperty.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Ben-Ayade.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1&resize=1050%2C600 3x
 Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum lays foundation for Borno’s resettlement city.
