Ogun State governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Construction has begun on the two-floor structure in Ilaro, Ogun state, known as “Yewa Unity House”, which will serve as a convergence point of Yewa sons and daughters, home and diaspora.<\/p>\n

Performing the sod-turning at the weekend, President of the Yewa Think Thank (YTT), Professor, Ayo Alabi, said the edifice would become the Secretariat for the TYY, and accommodate groups and associations linked with the development of the entire Ogun West Senatorial district.<\/p>\n

Features of the building include a reception hall, a hall for meetings and games, dining room and kitchen, administrative-secretary’s office, the staff office, treasurer’s and financial secretary’s office on the ground floor.<\/p>\n

The first floor, according to the Chairman of the YTT building committee, Chief Solomon Oniyide, comprises an executive room, committee rooms, a big hall, Chairman’s office, Secretary’s office, Yewa Education Trust Fund office and a big Library room for researchers and record keeping.<\/p>\n

The gathering attracted the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Rahaman Bello, Dr. SAJ Ibikunle, a former Chairman of Council, Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Olubara of Ibara, Abeokuta, Oba Jacob Omolade and foremost Professor history, Anthony Asiwaju, among others.<\/p>\n

Oniyide, who took the guests and VIPs through the trajectory of the YTT, added that the two-hundred million naira project with ample parking apace was the icing on the cake of the milestones of the YTT.<\/p>\n

Prof. Bello rallied support for the projects, while assuring that ita timely completion would further galvanized the much-needed development of the regions, the state and mankind in general, while doing his goodwill message.<\/p>\n

Former Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaja Salmot Badru, author and Chairman, Yewaland Development Forum, Lagos, Alhaji Ayo Adeyemi, Prof. Caroline Afolami and former Commissioner for Special duties, Tope Popoola made donations and pledges.<\/p>\n

Others who made donations for the timely completion of the project are Senator Solomon Adeola and Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade.<\/p>\n
