{"id":695,"date":"2017-02-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/consumers-more-optimistic-about-housing\/"},"modified":"2017-10-05T13:11:02","modified_gmt":"2017-10-05T13:11:02","slug":"consumers-more-optimistic-about-housing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/consumers-more-optimistic-about-housing\/","title":{"rendered":"Consumers More Optimistic About Housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More Americans are showing optimism toward their personal finances and the <a href=\"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/property-center-nigeria\/\">housing<\/a> market, a reversal to a five-month decline.<\/p>\n<div><a><span class=\"l\">Optimism Grows Among Sellers, Buyers<\/span><\/a><br \/>\nIn particular, Americans are more upbeat about home prices, <a href=\"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/fsbo-home-selling-for-savvy-homeowners\/\">home selling<\/a>, their rising household incomes, and they\u2019re less scared about losing their jobs, according to Fannie Mae\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/home-purchase-now\/\">Home Purchase<\/a> Sentiment Index, a survey of 1,000 Americans in January about their attitudes toward housing.\u201cThree months after the presidential election, measures of consumer optimism regarding personal financial prospects and the economy are at or near the highest levels we\u2019ve seen in the nearly seven-year history of the National Housing Survey,\u201d says Doug Duncan, senior vice president and chief economist at Fannie Mae. \u201cHowever, any significant acceleration in housing activity will depend on whether consumers\u2019 favorable expectations are realized in the form of income gains sufficient to offset constrained housing affordability.
