California continued to dominate realtor<\/a>.com\u00ae\u2019s latest rankings of top-performing housing<\/a> markets. The state boasted 11 metros on this month\u2019s top 20 list for markets that are seeing the quickest sales and most buyer demand online at realtor.com\u00ae.<\/p>\n

For the first time in several months, Vallejo, Calif., fell from its number-one ranking to third place, while San Jose and San Francisco assumed the top two spots on the list.<\/p>\n

Nationwide, the median time on the market for properties at realtor.com\u00ae in September was 69 days, which is 8 days faster than a year ago. The median list price is $274,000, 10 percent higher than a year ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cDays on the market and the number of new listings<\/a> coming to market are lower than we typically see in the fall season, while listing<\/a> views per property continue to move higher,\u201d says Danielle Hale, realtor.com\u00ae\u2019s chief economist.<\/p>\n
