This week\u2019s uptick in the 30-year mortgage rate ends a nearly two-month streak of declines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Freddie Mac reported the following national averages with mortgage rates for the week ending Sept. 21:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>30-year fixed-rate mortgages: <\/strong>averaged 3.83 percent, with an average 0.5 point, rising from last week\u2019s 3.78 percent average. Last year at this time, 30-year rates averaged 3.48 percent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>15-year fixed-rate mortgages: <\/strong>averaged 3.13 percent, with an average 0.5 point, increasing from last week\u2019s 3.08 percent average. A year ago, 15-year rates averaged 2.76 percent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>5-year hybrid adjustable-rate mortgages: <\/strong>averaged 3.17 percent, with an average 0.4 point, increasing from last week\u2019s 3.13 percent average.
