The aftermath of demolitions<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Federal Capital development Authority (FCDA) would require about N18.4 billion for completion of various Federal Government resettlement Schemes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.<\/p>\n

FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, who successfully carried out the full implementation of the projects, said his ministry however, earmarked four resettlement schemes for execution due to paucity of funds.<\/p>\n

The identified schemes are Apo, Galuwyi, Wassa, and Anagada resettlements with over 7,000 hectares off land as well as over 100 various communities.<\/p>\n

Bello, who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the FCDA, Umar Gambo Jibrin, an engineer stressed that the authority is determined to sustain the vigour and commitment in addressing some of the issues<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018\u2019in spite of the huge responsibility which the authority is saddled with, funding<\/a>, uncontrolled influx into the city, original inhabitants and problems of resettlement, are the major challenges facing the FCDA\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

The minister further sought the citizens\u2019 cooperation and appealed for more vigilance against frequent vandalisation of already developed infrastructure\u2019.<\/p>\n
