SmartAsset then compared that number to\u00a0the actual price per square foot.<\/p>\n<p>In Charleston, buyers purchase homes for $106.75 per square foot, but SmartAsset estimates it\u00a0should <span style=\"font-size: 14.4px;\">really<\/span>\u00a0be around $294.40 per square foot. That means buyers in the city save\u00a0$187.65 per square foot, according to the analysis.
