Do you know that in January 2015, the new Lagos State land registration law came into being? \u00a0Making the Registered Land Law, Registration of Titles Law, Land Instruments Registration Law and Electronic Documents Management Systems Law repealed.<\/p>\n

Section 101 of the new law requires any assignment (deed of assignment) or sublease that needs to be registered must have the land surveyed, to the satisfaction of the Surveyor General. Section 77 states that, no document shall be presented for registration unless the document has been stamped in accordance with the Stamp Duties Law.<\/p>\n
