Poised to reduce the alarming rate of injuries<\/a> and deaths from such slips in the bathrooms, offices, hotels, and swimming pool areas, a Nigerian firm, No-Slips Limited has introduced Sure-Step non slip product into the country. <\/p>\n

The product is long lasting chemical treatment that creates an invisible sophisticated tread design into the surface of hard mineral floors and porcelain\/ enamel bathtubs.<\/p>\n

Produced by Interlake Chemical International Limited based in Canada, the product is developed and proven for concrete quarry tile, Spanish tiles<\/a> ceramic tile, glazed brick, marble, terrazzo, porcelain\/\u00a0enamel and many other hard mineral surfaces. <\/p>\n

The Chairman of No-Slips Limited, the sole representative of the company in Nigeria, Mr. Charles Igbinidu said the company was concerned with the alarming rate of deaths and injuries occasioned by people falling in the bathrooms, offices, hotels, and swimming pool areas as a result of slippery floors.<\/p>\n

He said that the product Sure Step increase a surface co-efficient of friction by 200-400 per cent, when wet without changing the appearance of a floor or bathtub and without down time as the floor or tub can be used immediately after treatment.<\/p>\n

According to him, a Sure \u2013Step treatment will not only reduce the number of deaths from slips but also bring Nigerians comfort and peace of mind through treatment of floors and bathtubs.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Sure Step is not a film or a coating nor does it leave any chemicals, grit or residue on the surface of the floor or bathtub and once a surface is treated, 100 percent of the solution is neutralized and then removed\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

For the Business Development of the company, Victor Kalu, investigations have shown that slip and falls are currently among the major causes of accidents in private and public places in Nigeria and globally.<\/p>\n

He stressed that a SURE STEP treatment will cause chipping, peeling or discoloration, which will make the floor and bathtub will look brand new again.The product, he said is affordable, durable and last between six months to five years after treatment depending on the traffic on the surface.<\/p>\n

According to him, the company will do the treatment because it required intensive training while the product cannot be sold in open shelves. This, he said, was to maintain the product integrity and ensure maximum benefits for users who enlist the services of the firm. <\/p>\n
