NAR Associate Counsel Chloe Hecht also was recognized as a top trademark lawyer by WTR.<\/p>\n<p>The annual WTR Industry Awards judge nominees based on their expertise, innovation, active enforcement of trademark law, global attitude towards brand expansion and protection, and other attributes. The win designates NAR and Hecht as representative of the \u201cbest in class\u201d when it comes to trademark management, according to WTR.<\/p>\n<p>NAR General Counsel Katherine Johnson credited the work of other NAR departments as being instrumental in the ongoing effort to protect the REALTOR\u00ae trademark.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"2.8723404255319\">\n<p>Use REALTOR\u00ae Responsibly: Trademark Guidelines<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cProtecting our marks is an association-wide activity,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cIn our communications, our marketing promotions, our consumer outreach, and our meetings with our global partners, we constantly reinforce our trademarks.
