Bathroom renovations previously held the number one spot, but kitchen redos barely pulled ahead in the most recent report.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"3.71\">\n<p>Visit REALTOR\u00ae Magazine&#8217;s Styled, Staged &amp; Sold blog for the latest remodeling and design trends.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>NAHB&#8217;s survey showed these are the most common jobs for remodelers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kitchen remodeling: 81%<\/li>\n<li>Bathroom remodeling: 80%<\/li>\n<li>Whole-house remodeling: 53%<\/li>\n<li>Room additions: 45%<\/li>\n<li>Windows\/door replacement: 36%<\/li>\n<li>Finished basement: 27%<\/li>\n<li>Repairing property damage: 27%<\/li>\n<li>Decks: 25%<\/li>\n<li>Bathroom additions: 24%<\/li>\n<li>Roofing: 23%<\/li>\n<li>Enclosed\/added porch: 23%<\/li>\n<li>Handyman services: 22%<\/li>\n<li>Siding: 19%<\/li>\n<li>Second story additions: 16%<\/li>\n<li>Enclosed\/added garage: 12%<\/li>\n<li>Historic preservation: 9%<\/li>\n<li>Finished attic: 7%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fifty-three percent of remodelers say &#8220;whole-house remodeling&#8221; has become a much more common project, the survey notes.
