Despite recent swings in mortgage rates,t he <a href=\"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/property-center-nigeria\/\">housing<\/a> market continues to show strength\u2014both existing-\u00a0and new-home sales\u00a0in March exceeded expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Freddie Mac\u2019s weekly mortgage market survey showed the following national averages for the week ending April 27:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>30-year fixed-rate mortgages <\/strong>averaged 4.03 percent, with an average 0.5 point, up from last week\u2019s 3.97 percent average. Last year at this time, 30-year rates averaged 3.66 percent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>15-year fixed-rate mortgages <\/strong>averaged 3.27 percent, with an average 0.4 point, up from last week\u2019s 3.23 percent average. A year ago, 15-year rates averaged 2.89 percent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>5-year hybrid adjustable-rate mortgages<\/strong> averaged 3.12 percent, with an average 0.4 point, up from last week\u2019s 3.10 percent average.
