\u201cThe \u2018law of attraction\u2019 in our business is about attracting clients who want to work with us because they like us, trust us, and value our expertise,\u201d Jannatpour says. \u201cWhen we feel good about ourselves with a high level of self-confidence, we are unstoppable.\u201d<\/p>\n

One way to boost confidence is by listening to positive audio content, he says.\u00a0Whether it\u2019s while you\u2019re exercising or driving, carve out 30 minutes a day for business and personal development audiobooks or podcasts. Audible is his app of choice for audio content.<\/p>\n

Jannatpour has two recommendations you can pass on to your team: Take Charge of Your Life<\/em> (Nightingale-Conant, 1986), by Jim Rohn, which is a classic in personal development, and The Real Estate Sales Secret:\u00a0 What Top\u00a0Real Estate Listing<\/a> Agents Do Today to Sell Tomorrow <\/em>(Matt Parker LLC, 2015), by Matt Parker, who is a successful listing agent in the Seattle area. Jannatpour\u2019s own book is also available through the Audible app.<\/p>\n

Another way to build confidence is by taking care of yourself, he says. Take time for quiet learning and reflection. Eat right, exercise at least 30 minutes a day\u2014even if it\u2019s taking a walk\u2014and get enough sleep. Stress can lead<\/a> to negativity and erode one\u2019s self-image. \u201cWe get so busy\u00a0with business\u2014meeting clients, showing properties, hosting open houses<\/a>, giving listing presentations, and writing offers\u2014that we forget to take care of ourselves,\u201d Jannatpour says. \u201cIt’s so simple but it works.\u201d<\/p>\n
