{"id":2811,"date":"2017-03-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-31T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/strong-building-activity-tests-agents\/"},"modified":"2017-03-31T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-03-31T00:00:00","slug":"strong-building-activity-tests-agents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/strong-building-activity-tests-agents\/","title":{"rendered":"Strong Building Activity Tests Agents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div property=\"dc:description\" readability=\"56\"><!--paging_filter--><\/p>\n<p>Even as <a href=\"https:\/\/amazingproperty.com.ng\/blog\/property-center-nigeria\/\">real estate<\/a> professionals across the country grapple with a persistent shortage of homes available for sale, some agents are facing a different kind of challenge: convincing buyers to consider existing properties when builders are briskly turning out new homes a short distance away.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" align=\"right\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"325\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tG6f1IkyJTM\" width=\"450\"><\/iframe>That\u2019s the situation in the coastal South Carolina city of Myrtle Beach, where a strong supply of new homes is prompting many buyers to shun properties that have been lived in, says sales agent Brandi Minchillo of RE\/MAX Southern Shores, a real estate brokerage in the resort community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOftentimes, buyers see new and want new,\u201d says Minchillo, who spoke with REALTOR\u00ae Magazine earlier this month during the RE\/MAX R4 sales convention in Las Vegas. \u201cThey want the newest countertops and the newest flooring \u2026 they think you\u2019re going to walk in the door and it\u2019s supposed to be a turnkey property, and you don\u2019t get that with a 10-year-old home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To generate interest in properties that aren\u2019t brand-new, Minchillo says she looks to differentiate existing homes from new ones in specific terms that appeal to a client\u2019s sense of what they will get for their money.
