Apparently to ensure strict adherence to global best practice, two Strategic Business Units (SBUs) of Alpha Mead Group – Alpha Mead Development Company (AMDC) and Alpha Mead Facilities Management Services Limited (AMFacilities) have the highly coveted Quality Management System (QMS) certification – ISO 9001:2015.
The new certification clearly positions AMDC as one of the real estate development company in Nigeria certified to international standards and AMFacilities as facilities management company to successfully transit from the ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is an international quality and risk management standards that audit the quality processes and systems of businesses. It ascertains that businesses and operational processes are robust enough to consistently deliver quality products and services that are in line with global best practices to the customers.
“This remarkable achievement clearly reinforces our leadership position in the market”, said Femi Akintunde, Group Managing Director, Alpha Mead. “Our aim is to ensure that customers and clients of real estate products and services in Nigeria continue to get quality comparable to what is obtainable internationally. And we keep improving our processes to demonstrate to the industry that it is possible to have international quality in Nigeria”, Akintunde added at a press conference in Lagos.
According to Akintunde, the certification will amongst other benefits, assure the customers of the company its unalloyed commitment to quality services in line with the changing realities of the market, the sophistication of Real Estate assets and the increasing demand for quality in the market. “For an organization like ours that provides business and strategic support services to multinationals in different locations around the world, this for us is a means of reassuring our customers that we are in touch with global trends and we have the capacity to continue to serve them well” he noted.
Congratulating both SBUs of the Alpha Mead Group, Mrs. Adenike Akinbote, System Certification Manager, Bureau Veritas identified commitment to global best practice and dedication to professional business service as the key success factors for the certification of AMDC and recertification of AMF to ISO 9001:2015.
Commenting on the milestone, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Alpha Mead Group, Obi Nwasike, and engineer said: “In simple terms, what this certification means is that our quality and risk management processes and systems are at par with global best practices. This implies that we can operate in any market and serve any class of customer anywhere in the world: and our quality will be acceptable.”
Also speaking on the feat by both brands, Mrs Wale Odufalu, Deputy Managing Director of Alpha Mead Group said: “This new certification also demonstrates that we are happy and willing to take on new challenges. It speaks to our culture of continuous improvement and our resolve to ensure that our mission to engage the best people and equip them with the best processes and standards is alive beyond the mere words. We are committed to this mission and this is one of the things that keep us going.”
On his part, Damola Akindolire, Executive Director, Real Estate development of Alpha Mead said the certification of AMDC is deliberate, especially now that quality is becoming a cliché on Real Estate product.“Everybody claims they are producing quality Real Estate Assets but not everyone can define clearly the process of producing quality.
So this certification is for us to prove to our customers that we mean quality when we say quality and that is why we have put our process of producing quality to international assessment and by this certification, we believe that the international community has spoken and endorse that we have defined methodologies for producing quality”, Akindolire added.
