Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari
Contractors handling road projects in Katsina State have been urged to complete their works within stipulated time or face severe consequences.The State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, who have the order while inspecting road projects in Daura senatorial zone, said road contracts had commencement and completion timeframes which contractors are expected to abide with.
He warned that any contractor found to be willfully violating the stipulated agreement and timeframe for completion of work, would have his contract revoked.
The governor identified some of the on-going construction works to include; Mashi/Birnin Kuka; Fago; Katsayal/Rogogo and Babban-Mutum, stressing that they were crucial to the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.
He urged contractors to take advantage of the good weather to fast-track works on the roads in the interest of road users.Masari assured his government continued commitment to award meaningful projects, stressing that future road projects would be properly timed in such a manner that works would begin and end during the dry season.
